My name is Renee Cervantes, I moved to Arizona in 2005 from Southern California and now residing in Queen Creek with my family. I have been married for 15 years to my amazing husband Luis and I’m a proud mommy of three beautiful children. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, camping, horseback riding and baking cupcakes.
I started my college education in California attending Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. After moving to Arizona I attended Ottawa University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. While attending Ottawa University I ran a home day care, and was blessed to work as an instructional aide in kindergarten at Jack Barnes Elementary School. I student taught at San Tan Elementary in a preschool special educational class. I completed my second half of student teaching in kindergarten at EDU-PRIZE charter school in the spring of 2009.
After I graduated, I was called to teach special education in the Florence Unified School District. I was offered a position in a special education preschool class for the 2009-2010 school year. I continued to teach in special education and taught Life Skills K-2nd grade for the 2010-2011 school year. This was truly an amazing experience for me. I left Florence Unified School District in May of 2011 to go teach at Calvary Christian School and taught second grade for two years. This last school year I went back to Florence Unified School District and taught Pre-K. I am very excited and look forward to teaching Kindergarten at Cambridge Academy for the 2014-2015 school year.
